PHOENIX – The Phoenix Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Friday evening on 24th Street just west of Sky Harbor Airport.
Officers responded to a call of a man armed with a knife in the middle of the street. According to Phoenix Police, the man refused to drop the knife and moved toward officers.
One officer deployed her taser and another fired his weapon hitting the suspect.
The suspect was rushed to the hospital where he is in serious condition.
