Homicide On Tucson’s West-Side Under Investigation

TUCSON – The Tucson Police Department is investigating the shooting death of 50-year-old Danny Lee Jackson.

According to Tucson Police, on July 8, 2020, just after midnight, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 400 block of North Grande Avenue for a report of an unresponsive male, Mr. Jackson, lying in the parking lot. Tucson Fire responded and rendered aid however, he was pronounced deceased on scene shortly after their arrival.

Detectives learned a male and female flagged down a security guard to report the victim in the parking lot. The security guard then called 911. Officers and detectives spoke with the security guard but have not been able to locate or identify the male and female.

Detectives are asking anyone with information, including the male and female who located the victim, to please call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
