Do you believe in unalienable rights and that they derive from our Creator?

Do you believe the primary role of government is to secure these rights, including property?

Do you believe all individuals should have the same rights and no one more than another?

Do you understand that our rights are limited as we infringe upon others?

Do you understand that there is a hierarchy — a prioritizing of rights or principles?

Do you believe we should all be subject to the same laws and standards and that justice should be blind?

Do you believe that those who knowingly promulgate false narratives to delegitimize a president or abuse our system of government should be held accountable?

Do you understand that any created “right” that compels another to perform services for you is not a natural or unalienable right?

Do you believe that governments derive just powers only through consent of the governed?

Do you believe government should operate within the powers delegated to it, even if that leaves you bereft of your desires?

Do you understand our government cannot give to anyone except that which it takes from another?

Do you understand that, under our form of government, the nation has created more wealth, opportunity, and freedom by far, and for more people at home and abroad than any other nation — ever?

Do you think we have made progress in attempting to live up to the ideals of our founding?

Do you think we should judge people according to the day in which they lived in and given the customs and mores of that day?

Do you think it important to protect and preserve our history and remembrances of the individuals, flawed though they may have been, who had significant impact on our history, so we can study and learn from them?

Do you understand that every human-being, past and present, has made mistakes and we honor some for the greatness they have shown in certain – but, not all — areas?

Do you believe we are all part of one race called “the human race”?

Do you believe that we should be judged by the content of our character, not the color of our skin?

Do you believe our primary identity should be as sons and daughters of God?

Do you believe we have a shared history not owned by any one group, but by all?

Do you understand the struggle to live up to the ideals of the Declaration of Independence has been one that has crossed all boundaries and is not “owned” by any one group?

Do you realize that ending slavery in this nation took a coalition of mostly-northeners whose ethnicities and backgrounds covered all categories?

Do you realize that many groups and individuals have had hardships and struggles throughout the history of our nation?

Do you understand that those who have made the most progress have not maintained a victimization- mentality and, instead, believed, “Yes, we can?”

Do you understand there are countless millions around the world who would have given anything to have been born in the country?

Whether you like President Trump or not, did you listen to, or read Trump’s entire message at Mt Rushmore on July 3rd and agree with what he said?

Do you believe people should be allowed to worship, “how, where and what they may,” provided nothing infringes upon the rights of others?

Do you believe you should be able to have opinions in your private life without having your employment affected?

Do you understand that while “on the clock” with your employer that you may be asked to conform to standards they set?

Do you believe it wrong to silence another because he/she feels differently about a topic?

Do you understand that standing for the flag is recognizing the great principles upon which our nation was founded, and that many men and women sacrificed all to preserve them?

Do you believe you have the right to defend your life, liberty and property?

Do you believe you have the right to make a living and support yourself and family?

Do you believe that you have a right to control your own person and property from government coercion or seizure without due process?

Do you believe in the presumption of innocence?

Do you believe that capitalism and responsible self-interest is still the best system yet known to mankind in order to lift people from poverty?

Do you understand how false narratives and false teachings, such as the 1619 Project can corrupt learning and skew perspectives to yield the America-hating we see today?

If you answered “yes” to all of the questions above, then you are on the right track and call yourself “patriot.”

If you answered “no” to any of the questions above, then it may be time to rethink your position if you want to be on the correct side of history.
