Phoenix Fry’s Issues Recall Of Fresh Seafood

PHOENIX – The Fry’s Food Store located near 40th Street and Thunderbird Road has issued a recall notice regarding fresh seafood purchased at the full-service counter or self-service checkout from 6 a.m. on Friday, July 17 to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 24.

A temporary equipment malfunction may have caused the fresh seafood crate to malfunction, resulting in product temperature abuse.

The possible temperature abuse could have caused the growth of spoilage organisms or pathogens, although there have been no reports of illness or injury, according to Fry’s.

These affected items include:

  • Atlantic salmon
  • Catfish
  • Pacific Cod Fillet
  • Crab cake
  • Salad Crab
  • Lobster tail
  • Salmon burger
  • Red salmon
  • Cutlets
  • Shrimp ceviche
  • Raw and cooked shrimps
  • Snow crab
  • Crab Stuffed
  • Imitation Krab Surimi
  • Steak d’espadon
  • Tilapia
  • Fresh trout
  • Thon Ahi
  • Thon’s poke

If you’re concerned about an illness, Fry says to contact a health care provider. Affected products must be returned to the Fry store for a full refund or replacement. All customers who have used a loyalty card for their purchase will be notified by a receipt tape message and a phone call.
