SCOTTSDALE – A Christmas wish came true for Pony Express Dry Cleaners’ owner Kevin Redden, his family, and staff after “The Barstool Fund” announced the Scottsdale company would receive financial assistance on Christmas.

The announcement followed a request to The Barstool Fund for assistance by customers and supporters of the family-owned business.
In an appearance on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Kevin discussed the tough decisions he was making when he got news of the funding. He told was in the store on Christmas morning “going through schedules and looking for whose hours I could cut a little bit here and there” when he got the news.
“It’s one thing when you have your own life to worry about, but when you’re carrying 10 people and their families on your back, it gets heavy,” Redden said.
He added that for the first three to four months of the coronavirus pandemic business was down about 90% and is currently down 75%.
Founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, created The Barstool Fund as an avenue to provide assistance to small businesses struggling to survive the COVID-19 policies imposed by governors across the country.
Since his announcement, Portnoy’s efforts have resulted in contributions of over $7 million into the Fund that will be directed to business like Pony Express.

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has issued a number of executive orders since the pandemic began. He has kept them in place, forcing hundreds of businesses to shutter either temporarily or permanently, despite the fact that the emerging science does not support many of his restrictions, say his critics.
Arizona officials have worn out their arms this year, giving themselves pats on the back for imposing worthless “mitigation strategies” that have destroyed lives and livelihoods.
The evidence continues to prove how misguided they have been this year. https://t.co/yPXpJAAJH3
