On December 29, 2021, at about 2:30 a.m., Phoenix Police officers responded to a shooting call in the area of 19th Avenue and Camelback Road. Officers learned three adult males were in a vehicle stopped at a red light when suspect(s) in an unknown vehicle opened fire, striking two of the males.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, one adult male victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. The other male victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The third male occupant was uninjured.
