The Legislative Session has not yet begun, but Arizona State Representative Walt Blackman has already introduced HB 2029, which prohibits businesses from firing employees who choose not to receive a vaccination for COVID-19.

The bill would protect employees from discrimination by an employer for their vaccination status or for not possessing a
COVID-19 vaccination passport. Additionally, the bill prevents the state from doing business with companies that require an employee to receive a COVID-19 vaccination or possess an immunity passport.

“Protecting Arizonans from losing their jobs because they don’t want a forced vaccination is imperative. It is my job as a state representative to stand between Arizonans and unconstitutional mandates from the government that threaten the freedom and liberties of people across the state,” said Blackman in a press release.
