Nonprofits in Arizona have regularly employed harvesters during election cycles despite the fact that it is illegal.

On Wednesday, Congressman Andy Biggs sent a letter along with fellow House Republican members to the chairwoman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform demanding an immediate hearing to investigate the claims made in the 2000 Mules film.

Rep. Debbie Lesko is among the cosigners which include: Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Rep. Mary E. Miller (R-IL), Rep. Randy Weber (R-TX), Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC), Rep. Diana Harshbarger (R-TN), and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO).

The Honorable Carolyn B. Maloney Chairwoman
House Committee on Oversight and Reform
2157 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515

Dear Chairwoman Maloney,

The Committee on Oversight and Reform should immediately hold hearings to investigate the potential illegal activities revealed in the documentary film 2000 Mules. The film exposes potentially widespread illegal activities related to the 2020 election by using geolocation information to identify thousands of individuals who delivered thousands of illegally harvested ballots to drop boxes in five states. Collecting and delivering ballots in this manner is a violation of the law in the locations where the activities occurred.

The film documents activities that raise serious questions about potential widespread coordinated efforts to illegally harvest and cast votes.

The film reveals that in the Detroit area more than 500 individuals visited an average of 100 drop boxes to deposit ballots. In the Milwaukee area, more than I00 individuals visited an average of 28 drop boxes. In the Philadelphia area, more than I, I00 individuals visited approximately 50 drop boxes each. And in the Phoenix area, more than 200 individuals visited more than 20 boxes each. Additionally, the film reveals that more than 54,000 individuals delivered votes to at least five drop boxes each in these four states. These individuals could have delivered hundreds of thousands of illegal votes in these states.

The information revealed in the film is extremely troubling and must be investigated. In fact, ballot harvesting is a violation of the law in Pennsylvania1, Michigan2, Wisconsin3, and Arizona4.

Under your leadership, the Committee has held hearings on the Arizona election audit and Texas’ voting laws. The Committee has also devoted significant time and resources on hearings and investigations into issues such as flea and tick collars, the Washington Commanders football team, electric vehicles for the Postal Service, environmental justice, and vaping among other topics. The illegal activity exposed in the documentary 2000 Mules is far more serious than the aforementioned topics and must be investigated by the Committee.

We look forward to working with you to hold a hearing as soon as possible.

The film, directed by Dinesh D’Souza, offers allegations of potentially widespread illegal activities related to the 2020 election. The group behind the movie, True The Vote, featured prosecution of ballot harvesters in the Yuma area and geolocation information to identify individuals believed to have delivered thousands of illegally harvested ballots to drop boxes in five states.

“As the Chairwoman of the House’s Oversight Committee, Congresswoman Maloney has an obligation to hold an immediate hearing to further determine the veracity of these claims,” said Biggs. “The film exposes serious, potentially illegal activity related to the 2020 election. The committee should investigate these allegations to ensure the integrity of our elections.”
