Reaction came swiftly in response to the news that Planned Parenthood would not be endorsing candidates that receive contributions from law enforcement organizations.

“Of course their position is rank hypocrisy. Everyone knows that the first number anyone at Planned Parenthood is going to call if there is a problem at one of their locations is 9-1-1.” said State Representative David Cook, who added “So the radicals at the top of the organization want to virtue signal their left-wing pals and talk bad about the police, but like every other leftie, when bad things happen, they’ll be asking the police to keep them safe.”

State Representative Kevin Payne, who serves as Chairman of the House Public Safety Committee, echoed Cook’s comments, saying that “The men and women of law enforcement put their lives on the line for us every day, so it is pretty disgraceful for any group to set the kind of conditions for support that Planned Parenthood is setting. Our police don’t ask your political affiliations before saving you, they look after all of us regardless of our beliefs, and they deserve our respect for that.”

The decision to deny candidates that support law enforcement has not only cost several Democrats the organization’s endorsement but the money that would normally follow from supporters of the organization.

According to a Capitol tabloid, The Yellow Sheet, former “Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona Chair Chris Love said that police supporting Democrats should have gotten the message for at least the last two years.

From The Yellow Sheet:

“We wanted our candidates to refuse money from law enforcement organizations,” she said. “Why? Because it is the main way to stifle criminal justice reform.” Love continued to say that the issue has become a prerequisite for endorsements this year because abortion will be criminalized.
