Phoenix police detectives are investigating a homicide that left one man dead and multiple people injured by gunshots.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to a house in the area of 46th Street and McDowell Road around 2:00 a.m. for a report of a shooting.
When they got there, they found multiple people with gunshot wounds. One man was pronounced deceased on scene by the fire department. The fire department rushed three others with gunshot wounds to the hospital.
The suspect was also transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening laceration.
Another male victim arrived at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives responded and learned there was a physical fight between multiple males during a late-night party. During the fight, one of the involved males pulled out a gun and shot multiple times into the crowd as he was attempting to run away. After the shooting, the man was held down by witnesses until police arrived and took him into custody.
