Navajo County Traffic Stops Nets Over $640,000 In Meth And Fentanyl

Two men are in custody and an estimate street value of over $640,000 in meth and fentanyl was seized after a traffic stop in Navajo County.

According to the Navajo county Sheriff’s Office, on September 17, 2022, the Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 40 at mile marker 292 near the Holbrook area for civil traffic violations. Luis Manuel Perez-Fabian, age 28 of Phoenix, and Amando Madrano, age 34 of Mexico, were arrested and booked into Navajo County Jail for numerous drug charges.

Both men are currently being held on a $200,000.00 cash-only bond.

During the traffic stop, deputies were granted consent to search the vehicle. The search revealed approximately 15.5 pounds of Methamphetamine, and nearly 12,000 blue M30 Fentanyl pills concealed in the vehicle.

The two men were charged with Transportation of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Transportation of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, and Possession of Dangerous Drugs.
