Bodies Found In SUV Parked Along Road Near Goodyear Identified

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has identified two bodies found in an SUV near Goodyear last week as 54-year-old Jorge Guadalupe Rodriguez-Leyva and 48-year-old Violeta Amado-Correa.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, on November 25, 2022, just after 9:00 a.m., deputies responded to a call for service near the intersection of MC85/Cotton Lane reference a suspicious vehicle. The caller said the vehicle was a white Ford Expedition, parked on the shoulder of the road, and it had what appeared to be bullet holes in it. The caller also said there were two people inside the white SUV, and they were not responsive.

Major Crimes Division Homicide Unit Detectives say there are no outstanding suspects.

Detectives continue to work this case.
