Man Claims He Stabbed Mesa Fry’s Employee Because He Felt “Disrespected”

A man is facing charges for stabbing a Mesa Fry’s Food & Drug employee, claiming he felt “disrespected.”

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Henry Mcleod, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon for the stabbing that occurred on Nov. 23, just after 4 a.m., at the store near Ellsworth and Broadway roads.

The employee was found by deputies inside the store, bleeding after being stabbed multiple times. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Patrol deputies were able to view store surveillance video and speak with the victim, which helped identify the suspect as Mcleod, a contract employee of the store. Mcleod fled the scene prior to deputies arrival.

MCSO Detectives were able to locate Mcleod who was taken into custody without incident. Mcleod admitted to stabbing the victim after feeling ‘disrespected.’

Mcleod was then booked into jail for 3 counts of Aggravated Assault, class 2 and 3 felonies.
