Congressman Andy Biggs is not giving up his effort to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary (DHS) Alejandro Mayorkas.
Biggs is filing what he says is a “new and exhaustive article of impeachment against Mayorkas.
Today I am filing impeachment articles against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
I have a congressional responsibility to impeach figures who are in dereliction of their duties and commit crimes.
If we don't impeach him, his attack on this nation will continue.

Biggs was the first member of Congress to introduce articles of impeachment against Mayorkas in August 2021 after concluding that the Secretary was in dereliction of his duties. Since then, Congressman Biggs has been the unequivocal leader of the ‘Impeach Mayorkas’ movement as seen by his release of an impeachment-related documentary titled Alien Invasion, off-campus forums, press conferences, opinion editorials, and much more.
“Every day Secretary Mayorkas remains in office America becomes less safe,” said Biggs. “Secretary Mayorkas is the chief architect of the migration and drug invasion at our southern border. His policies have incentivized more than 5 million illegal aliens to show up at our southern border—an all-time figure. Instead of enforcing the laws on the books and deporting or detaining these illegal aliens, the vast majority of them are released into the interior and never heard from again.
“Thousands of pounds of drugs—including deadly fentanyl—continue to pour across the border unabated. Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45. These drugs could be stopped by a border fence and personnel, but Secretary Mayorkas has halted all wall construction and pulled agents from the front lines,” continued Biggs. “It’s clear Secretary Mayorkas has committed high crimes and misdemeanors. His conduct is willful and intentional. He is not enforcing the law and is violating his oath of office. For these reasons, Secretary Mayorkas should be impeached.”
On Wednesday, during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee, Chairman Jim Jordan accused the Biden administration of orchestrating the border crisis.
“Make no mistake, the Biden administration is carrying out its plan,” Jordan said. “We all heard Secretary Mayorkas sit in front of this committee and said, ‘We are executing our plan on the border,’ and we all heard President Biden say we’re trying to make it easier for people to get here. Well, they’re certainly succeeding in that.”
