A woman and man were found deceased in an apartment on North Valley Parkway in what investigators believe to be a murder suicide.
On May 11, 2023, around 7:30 p.m., Phoenix police officers responded to an apartment complex in the area of 33500 N. North Valley Parkway regarding several shots being fired from an apartment within the complex. As officers arrived, they located the involved apartment and established containment on the residence. Personnel from the Tactical Support Bureau assisted with the incident and entered the apartment. Inside the apartment, an adult female and adult male were located, both having sustained gunshot wounds. Neither survived their injuries and both were pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives believe that the male found in the apartment, shot and killed the female before turning the gun on himself.
