Biden Campaign Runs TV Ads In Arizona After Trump’s Mugshot Goes Viral

President Joe Biden’s team flooded Arizonans’ TVs with campaign ads following the viral release of his predecessor and likely frontrunner opponent, former President Donald Trump.

The Biden campaign announced on Monday that it would spend $25 million in Arizona and six other swing states: Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The mugshot gained even more traction when Trump used it in his first X post (formerly Twitter) since departing the platform in 2021, several days after the January 6 incident. Under his stony mug, Trump captioned: “ELECTION INTERFERENCE; NEVER SURRENDER!”

Ahead of Trump turning himself in to Fulton County, Georgia authorities, the Biden campaign uploaded eight videos to their YouTube channel: “Nosotros” (two videos, same message), “It’s Us,” “First Day,” “Fought Back,” “Manufacturing Boom,” “Pretty Awesome,” “Catch A Break,” and “Got to Work.”

The president also issued a request for campaign donations, alluding to his opponent’s forthcoming booking.

The two new campaign videos titled “Nosotros” were the same message with different video clips, entirely in Spanish, lending to Republican criticisms that the president and Democratic Party view the border crisis as a means of importing a new voter base.

The Spanish ads claimed that under Biden unemployment in the Latino/Hispanic community has been slashed in half, the economy is strong, and insulin is accessible at $35. Another English ad, “It’s Us,” made the same claims.

The House Budget Committee — along with the tacit admission of outlets like CNN — have debunked the unemployment and economy claims throughout this year. Concerning unemployment, the Biden administration factors jobs recovered from the pandemic, not new job creation. Under Biden, the economy is experiencing a “double dip,” meaning recessions interrupted by brief periods of growth, and consistently negative Gross Domestic Output (GDO).

As for the $35 insulin, that discount is only available for insured individuals using Eli Lilly drugs or to those over 65 years old using Medicare.

Biden’s other ads claimed that the president’s administration cut black child poverty in half, increased money for Black entrepreneurs, lowered the cost of living, lowered the cost of prescription drugs, brought manufacturing back to the country (mainly focusing on the semiconductor factories), and ushered in a manufacturing boom.

Two ads featured a cement mason praising Biden’s massive infrastructure funding, Kila Engelke. She’s also held multiple leadership positions within the labor union, Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association (OPCMIA). That union is an American Federation of Labor-Congress of International Organizations (AFL-CIO) affiliate.

Biden also ran a campaign ad just before the Fox News GOP presidential candidate debate on Wednesday.
