Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a collision in the area of 15th Avenue and West Bell Road that resulted in a man’s death.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 31, 2023, at about 11:53 p.m., officers responded to a call of a collision with injuries in the area of 15th Avenue and Bell Road. When officers arrived, they located an adult male, later identified as 41-year-old Touraj Hosseinabadi, with serious injuries. Mr. Hosseinabadi did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene by the Phoenix Fire Department.
The two vehicles involved remained on scene. Impairment is not believed to be a factor for either of the two drivers involved.
Detectives believe that Mr. Hosseinabadi was crossing the road when he disregarded the traffic signal and was struck by two vehicles.
