Arizona College Students Hold Pro-Palestinian Terrorist Rallies Following Attacks

Arizona State University (ASU) and University of Arizona (UAZ) students plan to hold pro-Palestinian resistance rallies following the terrorist attacks on Israelites.

The rallies are part of the National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) organization’s planned National Day of Resistance. Along with ASU and UAZ, SJP chapters at Butler University, University of Louisville, University of Birmingham, the University of Virginia, Michigan State University, and University of Mary Washington will participate.

NSJP declared Hamas terrorism as “a historic win for Palestinian resistance” and encouraged its supporters to engage in “armed confrontation with the oppressors” in addition to rallies.

“This is what it means to Free Palestine: not just slogans and rallies, but armed confrontation with the oppressors,” stated NSJP.

The SJP ASU will hold their rally outside the Memorial Union on Thursday at 11 am. Groups coordinating with SJP ASU include the Phoenix branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) at ASU, the Arizona Palestine Network, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán (MECHA) at ASU, and the Communist Party USA of Phoenix.

The UAZ chapter of SJP held a rally on Monday and plans to hold another rally on Thursday on the university grounds at 12:30 pm. Groups coordinating with SJP UAZ include Tucson Anti-War Committee, PSL, Arizona Palestinian Solidarity Alliance, RIOT Collective, and Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) Tucson.

SJP ASU also held a pro-Palestine rally last Sunday at Tempe Beach Park. They praised the “Palestinian liberation struggle against the U.S. and Israeli war machine” hours after Hamas militants — Palestinian terrorists — launched a surprise attack.

As of Tuesday, at least 14 U.S. citizens were among the 1,000 killed during the attack. At least 20, if not more, Americans remain missing or hostage.

The Hamas terrorists launched their attack at the tail end of Sukkot, the Israelis’ week-long Jewish festival. The terrorists fired missiles into Israel from Gaza, while armed militants launched a multi-front attack: they paraglided into the city, breached the border fences, and stormed the beaches. Hamas tortured and killed civilians indiscriminately, and took at least 150 Israelis hostage.

SJP has consistently advocated for the total destruction of Israel. Last January, their ASU chapter’s public protest against Israel prompted a response from then-Governor Doug Ducey. The governor declared that the discriminatory behavior shouldn’t be tolerated on a college campus.

Yet, it appears that no meaningful actions were taken to address SJP’s threats against Israelites.
