Phoenix Police Investigating Late Night Shooting Death

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a shooting late Monday night that left a man dead.

On November 13, 2023, around 10:10 p.m., officers responded to the area of 36th Avenue and Myrtle Avenue regarding a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they located an adult male, identified as 22-year-old Herbert Ludewig IV, with at least one gunshot wound. Lifesaving measures were attempted, but Ludewig did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
