Missing Person Case Leads To Arrest Of Phoenix Brother

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a homicide that began as a missing persons case and has ended with the arrest of a man for his brother’s murder.

On November 11, 2023, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., brothers George Morgan and Michael Morgan were involved in repeated physical altercations at their residence near 2500 North 19th Avenue. The repeated incidents ended, and neither were seen for a period of time. When Michael returned to the residence, but George did not, causing family to report George missing on November 12, 2023.

Detectives began the investigation and brought the Homicide Unit into the case after learning of the suspicious circumstances included in the investigation. Homicide assumed the investigation and eventually established probable cause to arrest Michael for being responsible for the death of George. Michael was booked on multiple charges to include murder.

To date, George’s remains have not been located. Anyone with information is asked to call the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip.
