A Gilbert woman is in custody and charged with the murder of her husband, whose body was found at their home the day before Thanksgiving.
According to the Gilbert Police Department, on Wednesday, November 22, officers responded to a welfare check request at a home located near Guadalupe and Recker Roads. Gilbert officers entered and the home and located a male victim, identified as 49-year-old Stefan Kolev, deceased inside.
As a result of the investigation and analysis of evidence collected at the scene, Gilbert investigators arrested 51-year-old Ivanka Koleva the afternoon of Monday, November 27, in connection to her alleged involvement in her husband Stefan Kolev’s death.
Ivanka was charged with one count of A.R.S. § 13-1104(A)(1) – Second Degree Murder and booked into the custody of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
