Peoria Police Identify Victims In Deadly Head-On Collision Near Lake Pleasant

The Peoria Police Department has identified the two people who died after a head-on collision in Peoria near Lake Pleasant on Saturday evening as 19-year-old Nivesh Mukka and 19-year-old Gouthan Parsi, both from India.

According to the Peoria Police Department, on April 20, 2024, at approximately 6:18 p.m., officers along with and Peoria Fire-Medical personnel responded to an injury collision on Castle Hot Springs Road just north of State Route 74. The collision involved two vehicles, a white 2024 Kia Forte and a red 2022 Ford F150, in which they both collided head on.

Preliminary investigation shows the driver of the red F150 was traveling southbound on Castle Hot Springs Road while the white Kia Forte was traveling northbound.

The red F150 had one occupant at the time of the collision. The occupant was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries but has since been released. The white Kia Forte had three occupants inside the vehicle. The driver was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries but has since been released. The two other occupants died from their injuries on scene. They have been identified as Mukka and Parsi.

This incident is still being investigated by the Peoria Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit.

In a Facebook post, the Peoria Police Department thanked the “citizens that stopped to render aid, we appreciate everyone’s patience while the roadway was closed and while we conducted a thorough investigation.”
