Suspect Arrested In Shooting Death At Phoenix Bus Stop

A man, Arbron Mehaj, is facing homicide charges for shooting and killing a man by a bus stop after a verbal argument.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, around 11:30 p.m., officers were called to a shooting at Tatum Boulevard and Union Hills Drive. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound next to a bus stop. Officers provided aid to the man until the fire department arrived. The man, later identified as 49-year-old Nathan Page, died from his injuries on scene. Officers were able to speak to witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage from a nearby convenience store that led them to the suspect who possibly lived nearby.

Detectives followed leads that resulted in the identification and arrest of the 31-year-old Mehaj. Detectives also secured search warrants which resulted in additional evidence and probable cause to book Mehaj into the Maricopa County Jail for Second Degree Murder.
