North Phoenix Stabbing Leaves One Man Dead

One man was stabbed to death and one man is arrested for his murder.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on October 7, 2024, around 11:00 p.m., officers responded to 2400 East Union Hills Drive for an injured person. Upon arrival, officers found 54-year-old Henry Lawrence suffering from an apparent stab wound.

The Fire Department transported the victim to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The responding officers located a male, later identified as Matthew Ryan Fain, near the area who matched the suspect description. Fain was detained without incident.

Fain was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of 1st degree murder.
