Phoenix Police Department detectives interviewed and released multiple people after investigating a verbal argument between acquaintances that turned deadly.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to a shots fired call at a home near 86th Avenue and Minnezona Avenue on Friday evening. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The fire department responded and transported the man for treatment. As officers were continuing their investigation, they received information from dispatch stating a second victim was taken to a nearby hospital. The victim, 25-year-old Andrue Encizo, was brought in by witnesses with a gunshot wound. Encizo was treated by medical staff but later died from his injuries.
Multiple individuals were detained and taken to police headquarters for interviews with detectives. Those individuals were later released pending further investigation.
