It is December of 2024 but Arizona Republicans may already know who their 2026 nominee for Governor will be, after President Donald J. Trump endorsed 2022 runner-up Karrin Taylor Robson for the race, “if she runs.”
“If Karrin Taylor Robson runs for Governor, she has my support!” said Trump from the stage at Turning Point’s AmeriFest event in downtown Phoenix.

Robson is a business executive and developer who lost a close primary to Kari Lake in 2022 after Lake was endorsed by Trump. Her personal wealth and fundraising prowess made her a top contender for the 2026 nomination, but adding a Trump endorsement may make her unbeatable.
“Robson’s money and existing support plus Trump?” asked one GOP consultant, “This race may already be over!”
Robson actively supported Trump’s 2024 campaign even though she had somewhat distanced herself in 2022 after he endorsed her primary opponent Kari Lake.
