Congressman Abe Hamadeh took flight with airmen at the Luke Air Force Base on Tuesday.
This latest military-based community engagement less than two months into office further solidified Hamadeh as one of the more military-focused congressmen in office.
“The fearless airmen of the 56th Fighter Wing are a testament to America’s toughest warfighters — sharp, relentless and unstoppable, and I am proud to be their Congressman,” said Hamadeh.
Luke Air Force Base only produces the best, and I was honored to take flight in their F-16s with them.

Prior to serving in Congress, Hamadeh began serving in 2016 as an Army Reserve intelligence officer. Hamadeh received a Meritorious Service Medal for his service in 2021, achieving the rank of captain.
Hamadeh was one of nearly 200 military veterans to run for House and Senate seats last year, per Military Families. Currently, there are about 100 veterans in Congress.
Hamadeh has cosponsored several bills pushing for improvements to the armed forces.
Among the more recent of these cosponsored bills is the Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act, prohibits the VA from transmitting certain information to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) utilized by licensed importers or dealers of firearms. Information includes personally identifying information of a veteran or a beneficiary to the NICS provided solely on the basis that such veteran or beneficiary has an appointed fiduciary to manage their benefits, unless there is an order or finding of a judicial authority that such veteran or beneficiary is a danger to themselves or others.
As a veteran & a former prosecutor, Congressman Hamadeh understands that oath of office to uphold the Constitution & to protect our communities.

Both of Hamadeh’s committee assignments concern the military: Armed Services and Veterans Affairs. He also serves on the subcommittees on Intelligence and Special Operations, Strategic Forces, Tactical Air and Land Forces, Economic Opportunity, and Health.
Hamadeh’s first slate of voting also signaled full support for the military. Most recently, Hamadeh voted in favor of the Hershel “Woody” Williams National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act, which would establish a monument honoring Medal of Honor recipients within the Reserve (the National Mall’s cross-axis).
Earlier this month, Hamadeh served as the keynote speaker for the Honor Flight Network’s 20th anniversary event in Washington. Honor Flight Network is a nonprofit which flies veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials, with an emphasis on serving wartime and critically ill veterans.
It was honor to be the keynote speaker for the 20th anniversary of the @HonorFlightNet in Washington, DC. These selfless patriots work day in and day out ensuring all of our veterans are honored and never forgotten.

In a post-election win opinion piece with The Daily Wire last November, Hamadeh promised to fix the VA by eradicating DEI in hiring and administration, terminating employees fired for poor performance but reinstated by the Biden administration, increase vendor choices for VA service, and speed up benefits and services.
