Glendale Vice Mayor Lauren Tolmachoff is pushing back against the continued false rhetoric of Worker Power — the political arm of California-based labor union Unite Here — in the run-up to the Propositions 401 and 402 special election culminating on Tuesday, May 20.
“We work with developers and neighborhood stakeholders to ensure projects are in the best interest of Glendale citizens. That’s what we did with the VAI Resort project near Loop 101 and Cardinals Way. Unfortunately, the list of false claims about this project is a mile long. Don’t believe the opponent’s rhetoric,” Tolmachoff said. “Here’s the truth: The opponents of this project are a California labor union. We’re talking about a 10-acre plot of land, not a city park. There’s no special tax incentive attached to this project. Every aspect of the project has been vetted in a public forum. The zoning agreement was approved unanimously by the City Council. The project will create thousands of new jobs and billions in new tax revenues that will have a positive economic benefit by funding essential city services like public safety and streets.
“I’m urging all Glendale voters to show their support and vote YES for Glendale and reject the false claims of an out-of-state group.”
Ballots can be dropped off at official drop boxes:

Californication – would be the top of the list of ‘ick’s’ I don’t want… WHERE’S THE BEEF as Mercury asks? WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL
Well, what are the claims? If the list is a mile long, how come we can’t see any of it? If an out-of-state union is stirring up trouble, what’s in it for them?
