
The body of a social media influencer, Hannah Moody, has been found near a trailhead in Arizona after she was reported missing.
The 31-year-old Moody, known for sharing her hiking adventures, was first reported missing at around 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday by concerned friends who said they had not heard from her.
According to the Scottsdale Police Department, officers responded to the trailhead where Hannah was last seen and located her vehicle still in the parking lot. Efforts to reach her by phone or ping her cell phone were unsuccessful.
Officers began search efforts on foot with drones and assistance from a Phoenix Police Department helicopter. Search efforts continued for Hannah for approximately 4 1/2 hours until around 11:30 p.m. when the search was called off for the evening.
Search efforts picked back up in the morning of May 22, with over 20 officers on bicycles, on foot, with drones, and with the assistance of the Maricopa County sheriffs search and rescue team and air unit.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s air unit located Hannah’s body at around 12:05 p.m. about 600 yards off trail.
Scottsdale Police Department detectives are conducting a thorough investigation to piece together what happened to Hannah and how she died. The investigation is in the early stages, but there are no obvious signs of trauma.
