Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a collision involving a Phoenix Police officer, that left a man dead.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on June 19, 2025, around 7:20 p.m., an officer in the area of Cave Creek Road and Pinnacle Peak Road was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The man did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The officer was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives believe the victim was traveling westbound on Pinnacle Peak Road when he did not stop for a red light and collided with the Phoenix Police Tahoe which was traveling northbound on Cave Creek Road.
