79-Year-Old Pedestrian Sent To Phoenix Hospital

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a collision that left a pedestrian in the hospital.

On July 14, 2025, around 8:10 p.m., officers responded to the area of 19th Avenue and Southern Avenue regarding a collision involving pedestrian. When officers arrived, they located the adult female pedestrian, identified as 79-year-old Carrie McGlory, with serious injuries. McGlory was transported to a nearby hospital.

The vehicle involved remained on scene.

Detectives responded to take over the investigation. The preliminary investigation indicates McGlory was in the two way left turn lane when she was struck by the vehicle involved, which entered the lane to make a left turn while traveling southbound on 19th Avenue. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this collision.
