With Adam Schiff Under Scrutiny For Mortgage Fraud, Sen. Gallego May Want To Find A Lawyer

With President Donald Trump and others in the administration applying new scrutiny to Democrat Senator Adam Schiff of California for what the President referred to as a “sustained pattern of possible Mortgage Fraud,” Senator Ruben Gallego may want to quietly retain his own counsel.

In a post to Truth Social on Sunday, President Trump called out Schiff. Schiff was the lead impeachment manager in his first impeachment trial who has set himself against the President at every turn. Trump wrote, “Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff is in BIG TROUBLE! He falsified Loan Documents. He once said my son would go to prison on a SCAM that Schiff, along with other Crooked Dems, illegally ‘manufactured’ in order to stage an actual coup. My son did nothing wrong, knew nothing about the fictional story. It was an American Tragedy! Now Shifty should pay the price of prison for a real crime, not one made up by the corrupt accusers!”

In an earlier post President Trump wrote, ““Adam Schiff is a THIEF! He should be prosecuted, just like they tried to prosecute me, and everyone else — The only difference is, WE WERE TOTALLY INNOCENT, IT WAS ALL A GIANT HOAX!”

As reported by Gateway Pundit, the President shared a screenshot of an affidavit signed by Schiff and notarized in which he declared his well-appointed house in Potomac, Maryland as his “principal residence,” while simultaneously claiming his Los Angeles, CA condo as his “primary residence.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham revealed on the Ingraham Angle June 15th that a criminal referral was submitted to the Department of Justice by Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency Bill Pulte which details accusations that Schiff falsified bank documents and property records over a 16-year period from 2003-2019.

“The referral, submitted to the DOJ by Housing Director Bill Pulte, alleges that Schiff has, in multiple instances, falsified bank documents and property records to acquire more favorable loan terms—impacting payments from 2003 to 2019 for a Potomac, Maryland-based property. Schiff owns a home in California and another in Maryland,” Ingraham told viewers.

The situation should seem familiar to Arizonans after a scandal emerged in June with the group ‘Veterans for Arizona’ asked United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins why allegations against Democrat Senator Ruben Gallego have not been investigated, according to AZ Free News.

In  2023, the Arizona Daily Independent reported that then-Representative Gallego had purchased his Washington, D.C., home near the Capitol and subsequently claimed that it was his primary residence on documentation for a VA home loan, while the then-Congressman and his wife simultaneously claimed their Phoenix home as their primary residence.

Loan documents obtained by Politico confirmed that Gallego’s campaign officially kept up the narrative that his primary residence is located in Arizona, as required by election law, while Gallego claimed his D.C. home on mortgage documentation.

The National Republican Senate Committee raised concerns at the time that “Gallego signed loan documents making Washington, D.C., his primary residence to obtain favorable mortgage rates, while at the same time taking advantage of homeowner tax breaks and voting in Arizona. This raises questions about whether Gallego committed fraud on his loan application.”

An election law expert told the Arizona Daily Independent in June, “Legally, Gallego doesn’t have to live in his district to serve in Congress, this isn’t like legislative offices or most county offices,” but added, “His campaign does have to consider the optics and potential legality of what he’s doing. Claiming two primary residences in two different states to obtain favorable terms and to meet the requirements of the loans, even though both claims can’t be simultaneously true, isn’t something the average person does or even thinks to do. So, it’s another Washington D.C., elite that laws don’t apply to, running for office claiming to be for the average Joes.”
