Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide after two men died, one from gunshot wounds, and the other as a result of a crash.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on November 28th, around 10:52 p.m. officers responded to reports of a motorcycle crash in the area of 2000 South 7th Avenue. Upon arrival, they located an adult male motorcycle rider suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and another adult male motorcycle rider with life-threatening injuries. A third man involved, driving a car, was not injured, but remained on scene. Both motorcycle riders were transported to the hospital, for their life-threatening-injuries, and later died.
Homicide detectives believe that two motorcycle riders were stopped at a traffic light near the I-17 Freeway and 7th Avenue, when one rider shot the other rider. The driver of a car nearby saw the man shooting and hit him with his car, causing life-threatening injuries. That driver was detained for questioning, and later released pending further investigation. The circumstances leading up to the initial shooting are all part of the ongoing investigation.
