North Phoenix Shooting Leaves Man Dead

Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating the shooting death of 40-year-old William Nyborg.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, at around 1:10 pm, officers responded to the area of 13th Avenue and Sequoia Drive regarding a shooting after being waved down by an adult female who stated someone had been shot at a residence nearby. When officers arrived on scene, they entered a home to check for any victims. They found Nyborg suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived and pronounced him deceased.

The suspect in this incident left before police arrived on the scene. Officers have secured the area and are working to identify witnesses and locate surveillance footage.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the police or SILENT WITNESS at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO).
