Weapons and rounds of ammunition were seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers conducting outbound enforcement operations at the Area Port of Douglas, from a U.S. citizen attempting to depart the United States.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, in February, officers at the Raul H. Castro Port of Entry in Douglas referred a 24-year-old, male U.S. citizen driving a Dodge Ram 1500 van for additional inspection as he attempted to enter Mexico through the port.
During the search, CBP officers discovered several packages inside the vehicle containing seven AK-47 rifles and 11,000 rounds of ammunition.
Officers seized the weapons and vehicle. The driver was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.

I can’t wait to see how WaPo spins this.
“An idealistic young man, looking to make life easier for Mexico’s oppressed chemical and botanical entrepreneurs, has been detained at the Douglas Iron Curtain checkpoint by lawless Fascists at U.S. Customs. Like the Cuban refugee Tony Montoya, he was dedicated to tilting the balance of power from oppressors to revolutionaries, from the medical-industrial complex to urban distributors and consumers.
