Two men tied to a major interstate theft have been arrested after Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed search warrants at two Cornville residences.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), the investigation began after a victim reported that two movers she hired in early January to transport her belongings from Utah to Scottsdale had diverted the trip to Cornville. While there, the suspects allegedly broke the locks on the U-Haul and stole approximately $60,000 worth of her property. Although the theft occurred in early January, the victim reported the crime approximately one month later.
On Wednesday morning, the YCSO SWAT team served warrants at residences on Clatterbuck Drive and Storey Drive. At the Storey Drive location, detectives recovered property belonging to the victim and arrested 51-year-old Raymond Holguin. At the Clatterbuck Drive residence, investigators seized methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms. 57-year-old Marc Morris was arrested after leaving that residence, and a female subject was also taken into custody on an outstanding probation violation warrant. Multiple-loaded firearms were found at both locations.
Both Holguin and Morris face several felony charges related to the January theft.
Additionally, Morris was arrested on weapons and drug charges, while the female suspect was arrested for drug-related offenses.
The investigation remains active.
