Peoria Police Seek Information On Arson, Drive By Shooting

The Peoria Police Department is seeking the public’s help with any information regarding arson and a drive by shooting on two separate dates at the same residence in the 7800 block of West Beaubien Drive.

The first incident was an arson of a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence on October 20. The second incident was a drive by shooting where a subject shot three rounds at the house on October 26.

Police say the incidents appear to be related and limited to this single residence.

Police are seeking to identify a male subject in surveillance video who is seen setting fire to a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 7800 block of West Beaubien Drive on October 20, 2017 at approximately 2:20 a.m..

The suspect is seen walking up a neighboring driveway carrying what appears to be a bottle in his hand. He walks into the victim’s driveway near a white truck that is parked, and is seen near the vehicle for several minutes. At approximately 2:25:40 on the video, you can see a fire lit underneath the vehicle and the power shut off to the house. The suspect and an additional unknown individual run from the scene toward a nearby wash in the area. The truck sustained significant damage from the fire.

The suspect appears to be a white male, approximately 20-25 years old, medium height and medium build. He had very short hair, glasses and facial hair. He was wearing a “Famous”” brand shirt with the word “Family” on it, shorts and athletic shoes.

The second incident occurred on October 26 at approximately 6:14 a.m., and was captured on surveillance video. The homeowner and his adult son were outside of the home working on an exterior light when they heard a dirt bike approaching from the south on the dirt road on the east side of their home. At approximately 6:14 p.m., three shots were fired from the dirt road toward the victim’s residence, striking the residence three times. The dirt bike is then seen speeding off northbound on the dirt road. At the time of the shooting, the home was occupied by several individuals including a small child. Nobody was hit by the shots and nobody was injured. Peoria officers were in the area and an officer attempted to stop the dirt bike but the driver fled into an area that patrol vehicles were unable to get to.

The suspect in this incident is described as a white male wearing a flannel shirt, black shorts and tennis shoes. The dirt bike is described as a 4-stroke red in color dirt bike, possibly a Honda 450.

Police say the incidents are “obviously extremely concerning.” They believe that this specific residence is the target. Anyone who has any information about these incidents or recognizes the individual in this video is encouraged to contact the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. #peoriaaz #peoriapoliceaz
