Tucson Fire Department personnel responded to a call in the 10200 block of East Speedway for an elderly female who suffered burns to her face and arms from a propane grill.
The grill had been installed earlier in the day, “exploded” according to the woman while being lit, causing the burns. The grill was still on fire as Tucson Fire Department (TFD) crews arrived on scene but firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames.
The grill was in the corner of the yard, a safe distance away from anything combustible.
