The Arizona Geological Survey has just released an interactive webpage which highlights sites of historic and geologic interest in Southeastern Arizona. You can access the site here: https://arcg.is/1fGub0
The site includes geologic features and related sites – museums and mining communities – organized under three tabs:
- Within 15-mile radius of Tucson
- From 15- to 75-mile radius
- From 75- to 200-mile radius.
To navigate, mouse over the thumbnail pictures and the location will show up on the map. Clicking the thumbnails will bring up a short explanation and links to geological reports and maps.

AZGS is working on a similar page for the Phoenix area.
