PHOENIX –On Tuesday, in an appearance on Phoenix radio, baseball legend Curt Schilling announced that he has decided against running for Congress in Arizona in 2020. The former Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher cited concern for his family as the reason.
“The things that have been said and done to my wife and kids since I announced interest in running are not worth it,” stated Schilling.
In August, Schilling said he would consider a congressional run during another radio interview.
Schilling did say on Tuesday that he was interested in the Phillies vacant managerial position.
