A Yuma man has died after coming to the rescue to two juveniles near the Horseshoe Island sandbar in the Imperial Reservoir.
According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at approximately 12:13 PM, the Office received a report of a possible drowning in the waterway near Hidden Shores Resort.

Dive team members from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, Border Patrol, and Yuma Police Department responded to assist with the underwater search.
At 7:20 PM, Mr. Brady was located and pronounced deceased on scene.
