Man Killed in 3 Vehicle Collision in Phoenix

A man was killed in a three vehicle collision on Tuesday.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, around 7:54 p.m., officers responded to the area of 35th Avenue and Bell Road regarding a three-vehicle collision. When officers arrived, they located an adult male, later identified as 28-year-old John David Segovia, unresponsive. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and pronounced Segovia deceased. Three adult females from the second vehicle involved were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle involved was not injured and remained at the scene.

Detectives believe Segovia was traveling northbound on 35th Avenue at a high rate of speed when he collided with the second vehicle, which attempted to make a left turn into a private drive. The drivers of the vehicles were evaluated for impairment; however, no signs were observed.
