Phoenix Police Investigating Murder Suicide

A couple is dead and the Phoenix Police Department is investigating a possible murder-suicide.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on June 26, 2026, at approximately 3:50 p.m., officers responded to an apartment near 99th Avenue and Camelback Road regarding a shots-fired call. Upon arrival, officers found 40-year-old Shanna Cassondra Watts and 54-year-old Ronald Wright Serafino unresponsive, each with at least one gunshot wound.

Phoenix Fire personnel responded and pronounced both individuals deceased.

Preliminary information indicates the victim and suspect lived together. Evidence suggests Serafino shot Watts before taking his own life.
