On April 9, at about 10:30 p.m., the Pima County Sheriff’s Department received a 9-1-1 call about a suspicious dark sports car with a female driver parked in the 4800 block of North Calle Tobosa. Deputies responded and found a vehicle matching the description nearby.

When deputies made contact with the driver and sole occupant of the car, she was identified as 51-year-old Mary MacGregor-Wolfe. She was in a black Nissan 350Z. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered that Ms. MacGregor’s driver’s license was suspended and the license plate on the car had been reported stolen.

As the Deputy was going back to the car to make contact with Ms. MacGregor-Wolfe reference her license and the plate, Ms. MacGregor-Wolfe left from the traffic stop at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was not actively pursued. A short time later and while checking the surrounding area for the vehicle, deputies noticed a dust cloud rising near Snyder Road and City View Drive. When they approached that location, they found the Nissan had crashed off the roadway and rolled over on the north side of Snyder Road.

MacGregor-Wolfe was found partially ejected from the car and deceased.
