Rep. Warren Petersen Hopes To Replace Biggs

Senate President Andy Biggs has decided to throw his hat in the ring for Congressman Matt Salmon’s seat leaving a vacancy that many had hope Rep. Warren Petersen will fill. On Friday, Petersen, who is known as an enemy of crony capitalism, announced that he will try to do just that.

In a message to supporters, Petersen he would be filing paperwork to run for the State Senate to replace Biggs, and has the support of Rep. Eddie Farnsworth for the Senate campaign.

Petersen told supporters that his passion is to protect your liberties and small businesses from government overreach.

Petersen sponsored many bills that have been signed into law by the governor including one that eliminated pensions for politicians.

Petersen is a 3rd generation Gilbert resident. He has been married to his wife Michelle for 17 years and they have 5 children. Petersen has worked in the real estate industry for 18 years, primarily in new home construction and has owned a real estate brokerage firm for over a decade.
