Man Arrested For Talking to CDO Student

On March 24, 2016, the Oro Valley Police Department’s (OVPD) Community Action Team (CAT) made contact with a male subject fitting the description of the suspect in a green van that approached a CDO student on March 4. Jesus Greer, a 66 year-old Hispanic male, admitted to speaking with the young male on March 4, 2016 when he was walking home from school and asked him if he needed a ride.

Greer was booked into the Pima County Jail on misdemeanor alcohol charges.

On March 4, 2016 Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) patrol responded to a report of suspicious activity near Calle Concordia and Oracle Road. A male student of Canyon Del Oro (CDO) high school was walking home from school at approximately 2 p.m. when a male driving, an older model minivan, approached him and offered a ride. The suspect asked the student four or five times to enter his car and the student told him no.
