TPD Needs Help Identify Armed Robbery Suspect

The Tucson Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying this armed robbery suspect. Last night, around 9:40 p.m., an unknown male walked up to the drive-through window at Whataburger located at 3925 S. 6th Ave. (S. 6th Ave. / W. Ajo Way). The male walked in between the window and a customer in their vehicle at the drive-through.

The male was armed with a handgun and pointed it at the employee while demanding money. The customer drove away and the employee immediately backed away from the window. The male suspect fired two rounds from the handgun inside the store. The male then fled the area on foot. Thankfully, no one was injured during this incident. The suspect was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, mid to late twenties, 5’8” – 5’11” with a thin to medium build and a tattoo on his upper right collarbone area. He was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, dark pants, gloves, black bandana, and a blue baseball hat with a star on the front and a light colored brim.

About 30 minutes later, a male matching the same description entered the 7-11 convenience store at 885 E. 22nd St. (E. 22nd St. / N. Park Ave.). He located the clerk inside the store, pointed a handgun at him and directed him over to the register while demanding money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot westbound. No one was injured during this incident.

Just before 11:15 p.m. a male matching the same description as the two previous robberies entered an AMPM convenience store located at 501 W. Irvington Rd. (S. 12th Ave. / W. Irvington Rd.). The male pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store on foot. No one was injured during this incident.
