Micro-Burst Causes Damage Across Tucson

Units in the Woodridge Apartments, located at 8225 E Speedway Blvd., were damaged after a tree crashed into the buildings during a violent storm on Thursday.

The storm knocked out power to thousands of TEP customers.

A tree fell in the Walmart parking lot on the north side of Tucson in the area of La Cholla Blvd.

The Tucson Fire Department reports that no one was injured.

    surface.

    complexes; irrigation lines at or
    near the surface, frequent, low volume
    watering schedule. Hence, you will see
    roots growing OUT from the tree, instead of
    the much more stable DOWN from the trunk.
