A man in his 30’s was drowned on Sunday while tubing down the Salt River north of Mesa. The
victim was trying to retrieve a tube that had floated away near the Blue Point Bridge around 3:30 p.m.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reports that the man became exhausted and went under the water.
The victim has not been identified.
