TUCSON —  Francisco Esteban “Cisco” Fierros, 31, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for taking part in the kidnapping, beating, and maiming of a Tucson man whose right index finger was chopped off with a machete.

A woman who kidnapped the victim at gunpoint produced evidence in the case, by filming the assault on her cellphone.

Jessica Ann Marie “Guera” Bracamontes, 32, met the victim at a Tucson convenience store on July 27, 2017 to transact a drug deal.

Bracamontes, who was not satisfied with the results of the deal, kidnapped the victim at gunpoint, ordered him into her car, and took his jewelry and cellphone, said a statement from the Arizona Attorney General’s office.

The kidnapper then joined up with other accomplices, including Fierros, and took the victim to a Tucson motel where they beat the victim.

Fierros picked up a machete and punched the victim until he placed his right index finger on a bedside dresser. While Bracamontes filmed the assault on her cellphone, Fierros chopped off the victim’s finger.

Bracamontes then took possession of the finger.

“We’re keeping it so it serves as a reminder to you,” Bracamontes reportedly told the victim, before ejecting him from the motel room.

The victim went to the University Medical Center for treatment.

Bracamontes previously pleaded guilty to charges connected to this incident and was sentenced to 10.5 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections.

The other three accomplices also pleaded guilty and are serving these sentences: Richard “Happy” Marquez, 8 years in prison; Jorge Miguel “Koncrete” Chavez, 6.5 years in prison; and Francisca Leann Gatter, 100 days in jail.

The case prosecutor was Assistant Attorney General Joshua Moser. The  investigation was conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives,  Tucson Police Department and Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
